Last July 6, 2017, the ESTI Science Club community conducted Science Poster making with the theme “Science for the People”. The said poster making contest at exactly 2:30 in the afternoon and ended at exactly 4:30 in the afternoon. Each grade level has their representative. Six(6) students from grade seven level (Platinum Star and Silvermoon) participated on the said poster making competition, eight(8) participants from grade eight, two(2) from grade nine, and two(2) from grade ten with a total number of eighteen(18) participants from grade seven to ten.
Each and every student put their best to express their ideas and make their poster. We can see on the lines of their work the determination and their aim to be the winner in the poster making contest. They thought of the images and pictures they want to put on their poster. Each color and each line shows their love for arts. Every minute there were many ideas that came up to their minds. All of them are good in making posters, but we know that in every contest, there will always be a winner. Their willingness to showcase their talents and participate in activities led them to success. After the said poster making contest, the best among the best were announced. Our three honorable judges, make their decision among the eighteen participants. Based on the decision of the judges namely: Mr. John Carlo Sto.Domingo (MAPEH Junior High School Teacher), Ms. Sharmaine Narzoles (Contemporary Arts Teacher for Senior High School) and Ms. Cyndy Natal (Science Senior High, Junior High School Teacher), the first placer was given to the poster made by a Grade Seven Platinum Star student, Jabez Jeremy Oracion with an average score of 90.6. The second place with the average score of 72 was by Janbert Gonzales from Grade Eight Platinum Star and the third place was received by Mariane Grace Rosales, a Grade Seven Platinum Star student with an average score of 70.6. All students gave their best and their efforts in joining the said activity but the above mentioned students are the ones who excelled in the competition. There are students who made their poster well but due to lack of time they were not able to finish their artwork. But despite that, they enjoyed doing their artwork and experienced another activity where they can express their feelings, together with their ability and lastly met new individuals and become friends with them through the said activity
